Cal Thomas has gone off the rails several times in the last month or so. Looks to me like he’s getting senile. Used to be a decent Protestant Evangelical/Reformed commentator.
Well he can express his opinion of course, it just seems rude to me. Is he really still fighting the reformation? And I’m really missing something here because didn’t Christ say to Peter “You are my rock, and upon this rock I will build my Church”? I’m sure one can argue about interpretation but with Islam rising is this really the fight anyone needs?
I recall a Jewish professor saying to me that if Christ appeared in the Holy Land and saw the mosque, church and synagogue, he is going in the synagogue. I’m hard pressed to disagree based on Christ’s life as a Jew. Now what he will say in there is another matter.
