“Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. “I had a dream,” he was saying. “A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.”
Judges 7:13
Threw that in there for scriptural reference. I wonder if your friend was familiar with that verse from past readings of Judges.
A deeply rooted and established tree being struck by a barley loaf and catching flame a is a very significant image.
In the case of Judges, it was Gideon leading 300 men of Israel who was the “Barley loaf” that destroyed Midian’s army.
Perhaps God has chosen a new spiritual Gideon to arise to rally our dispirited churches so that we might with power confront the evils of our age..until Jesus comes!
Perhaps Israel is about to confront some of her more intransigent enemies and destroy them utterly!
Just possibilities to pray about...not interpretations...only God can grant interpretations to dreams.
OK just talked to Grace, the lady with the dream. Will write it again as my memory is fresh...
Grace saw Jesus standing under a large/huge tree. He had a loaf of BARLEY bread in his hand and he threw it up into the tree...when he did the entire tree burst into flames.
There, that is the dream. Remember she KNEW it was Barley and no, she was not familiar of Judges 7.
