1. The Eastern Orthodox Church is CATHOLIC.
2. The Coptic Christians are an off-shoot of the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church (Catholic) and have been around since AD 42.
3. The Ethiopian Church was established in 1930 and is CATHOLIC church in full communion with the Holy See.
4. The Syrian Jacobite Church is part of the Syriac Orthodox Church and has been around since the middle of the first century.
5. The Armenian Church is part of the Oriental Orthodox Church and has been around since AD 301.
6. The Nestorian Church is part of Eastern Christianity and has been around for almost 2,000 years.
Not a one of the churches listed above have anything at all to do with the Reformation of the 16th Century. The Vatican recognizes these Christian churches as true churches, but they are defective because they do not recognize the primacy of the Pope. Their liturgy is very much Catholic.
Protestant denominations called Christian Communities born out of the Reformation are not true churches, but ecclesial communities.
