The Textus Receptus is not an original — far from it. Elementary textual analysis (and I do not claim to be an expert in the field, just a person who has read experts) shows clearly that it is a later, highly edited text. Again, we do not have originals.
If you’re looking for true originals of texts that are millennia old, you’re going to be looking for a long time or require a time machine. The Masoretes are the offspring of elder scribes that were equally rigorous in copying out the scriptures, and the New Testament is not so old as to require the same rigor, although close to it. Masoretic rigor requires character-by-character transcription, and nothing is ever copied from memory.
