LOL, you’re comparing Southern Baptists to Mormonism? Really?
Are Southern Baptists teaching that God was once a human and that He physically impregnated Mary? (That’s so blasphemous I hate to type it). Or that Jesus and Satan are brothers? Or that Baptists will become little gods when they die and inherit their own planets?
Comparing? Not at all. I was simply pointing out the double-standard.
Mormons also state that Jesus Christ came to Earth three times and each time His message was unsuccessful, whereas Joseph Smith succeeded where Jesus Christ failed. When you become a "god", it is with Joseph Smith sitting at the judgement seat with Jesus as a subordinate at his right hand. Everyone who's lived a perfect life on Earth, but didn't embrace mormonism, becomes servants, i.e. slaves, of mormon gods in the afterlife, and the magic ritual of baptizing dead people is supposed to guarantee not only that they are "saved" to a higher level in the hereafter, but to increase your retinue of personal slaves when you become a "god".
I could go on be I don't need to start my day reminiscing about life in that cult.
