Boy some folks spend so much time obsessing about Mormons they rent half their brains for free!!LOLWe are NOT absessed!
We ONLY spend a year out of our lives, 10 hours a day and 6 days a week doing this.
How DARE you call us using HALF our brains!

There is nothing in my teachings to the Church or in those of my associates, during the time specified, which can be reasonably construed to inculcate or encourage polygamy;Doncha just LOVE qualifiers!!

Do you happen to have anything a bit more current about present church doctrine...This is a valid request.
Attention MORMONs reading this:
Do you have anything that states D&C 132 is no longer valid as scripture?

I would say that Apostle Orson Pratt was trying to use his doctrine to shape scripture instead of using scripture to shape his doctrine. The same goes for Brigham Young. Not sure about what McConkie is trying to say. You may be reading something into it that isn't there. It would be nice to have more context. The excerpt from the Seer makes the same mistake as Pratt. They had some doctrinal concept of marriage and conception which they used to shape the meaning of scripture - a mistake which continues to plague many denominations to this very day.
I believe you may be reading more into this than is actually there. But I would definitely be interested in hearing what the present day LDS church has to say about this. Certainly there must be some recent official edict or proclamation floating around which states that God had sex with Mary. Until I see that, I am willing to give them the benefit of doubt.

In Mormon theology God could have changed His mind fifteen minutes ago...so any moron can use the excuse “we haven’t taught that in the last fifteen minutes” or, “some wards may teach that but my ward doesn’t” only if you become a member you find out yes, they do, they always have, it’s just one of the “secrets” they don’t like to discuss in public.

Yeah, come to think of it, Jesus got the same type of response from the pharisees. Go figure.

Rommans 12:
→17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
→18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
→20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
→21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Prov 24:
12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he →render to every man; according to his works?←
Matt 7:
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; → but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.←

Ok, everything I posted is referenced.
Everything listed is explained by the people who said it.....
yet, it appears it is not enough for you.
((sigh))
If you are unable or unwilling to understand what has been said and documented by lds leaders, that is on you.
I provided the information you requested, and well, you still do not beleive that is what lds leaders teach, so ok.

You said: You want to know who’s bound for hell? Anyone that denies food, clothing, or shelter to a sinner.
I asked: Please, provide Biblical references for your claim.
You posted versus which do not say what you said. They say many great things, but nothing about the denial of Salvation if one does not feed, clothe or shelter the least of these or sinners.

Re: Woodruff's 1890 declaration...
#1...If Woodruff's 1890 declaration had taken amongst all of its leader, the 1904 Second Manifesto would have been redundant/superflous.
#2...May I suggest you at least look at the lengthy appendix in Solemn Covenant: THE MORMON POLYGAMOUS PASSAGE (and perhaps read a chapter or two from this book)
Hardy, himself a descendent of polygamists, lists (if I recall correctly) about 260 plural unions between 1890-1910 in the appendix. These were solemnized by hierarchy Mormons.
If you look at this list closely, you'll see some of these additional plural unions lasted all the way until the early 1960s.
#3 To elaborate further on this, Woodruff's declaration didn't evaporate most of the existing plural unions as of that time.
#4 Current Lds teaching is that if you are solemnized to more than one spouse in the lds temple (for example, a second after the first died), you are a polygamist as of death...provided you make it to the Celestial Kingdom, that is.
#5...Lds "apostle" McConkie taught that polygamy was a "holy practice" that would jumpstart again when the Mormon jesus returns...(see his book, Mormon Doctrine).

Wouldn't that depend on whose definition of Christianity you are using?Funny how when posters say fLDSism isn't (mainstream) Mormonism, I don't see posters like yourself with your "Would that depend on whose definition of Mormonism you are using" quips...
