Ummmm, because I have a life?
I for one do go to two Chruches, Methodist and Orthodox. My original Methodist Baptism was taken but the much older Orthodox Church for membership. Do you know why? Because they follow the same Christ. We also have a Catholic member at my Methodist Church who has joined and their Catholic Baptism was taken. Why? Again because both are in the body of believers. Anything in the past that has stood in the way of this was of man. The creeds and beleifs all grew from the same core and were not changed so dramatically as the LDS did to true historic Christianity (Polytheism, God once Man, physical conception of Jesus, standing before Joseph Smith to get into heaven)
None of these Churches honor a Mormon Baptism because it is not the same Christ by any stretch of the imagination. Even the very Mormon “Prophets” have said it is not the same Christ. If you respect the Mormon faith, if you understand as you claim then you know how important a Prophet is to that faith.
So basically saying one is a member of a the Christian faith and the LDS is like being a divot Muslim and practicing Jew, it is not comaptiable.

To answer your question who am I to judge, I am a Christian with a mind and the ability to read the bible. I will not Judge the motives of a Mormon but as we are quite allowed to do I can judge what they say and what they do as it relates the their organization scripture and beliefs. Judge not least ye be judged is the most abused concepts this day and age, mainly because of the liberalization of Christianity. But lets take the inverse of that argument, if we cannot judge Mormonism, we cannot also judge Islam or Buddhism or any other faith. Therefore we must then accept they too are correct. If that is the case then what is the point of any faith. Faith itself is judgment of right and wrong.
Polytheism died with the original Roman Empire.
And beyond that, the Mormons do not see it as “g” gods. All good Mormon become Gods equal to the big guy himself, with their own world to run. Remember the Mormon god was once a Man. You should know that given your LDS expertise.
Ron, the article itself cites Jude 3...which I re-highlighted in my initial post of this thread...Jude 3, written by Jesus' half-brother, Jude, says we are to "contend for the faith once delivered to the saints."
If you've seen a Superbowl, many Olympic events, etc., then surely you know the meaning of the word "contend." (Hint: It's the opposite of being a couch slouch)

Jesus called the Pharisees (see John 8) "children of the devil"...The apostle Paul referenced us ALL as "children of wrath" (Ephesians 2:3) outside of Christ running interference for us who believe on the cross.
Paul indeed cited pagan poets re: a comment that "we are his offspring" (Acts 17:28-29); yet we all know the difference 'tween a man who pro-creates a child vs. a father who is present in the life of that child.
Therefore, Paul primarily uses "adoption" as the motif of describing our "child" status before God. And He doesn't apply it to everyone; rather it's those who are "in Christ."
The difference 'tween Christ and the rest of us is found in John 3:18: 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s b>one and only Son. [Or, as the KJV puts it, the "only begotten Son."]
God has only ONE begotten Son (Jesus); the rest of us are but merely adopted as children.
