LDS Bishops, Stake Presidents are NOT paid. Period. Educators in the Church education system are usually paid. Most Mission Presidents are not paid, but a small portion receive a living allowance during their three year service if necessary to live on.

It reveals gross ignorance by the poster to assert that Mission Presidents are Bishops or that Bishops, who serve part-time, are financially compensated at all for their service.

My uncle was a bishop and he received about $40K a year and that was in the early to mid ‘70s.
These dollars were called ‘stipends’.
I guess, he could have been lying to me.
