Amen.
We have not seen anything close to persecution yet here in the USA.
Somewhere around here I have Fox’s Book of Martyrs...
Kinda hoped to expire before it comes to that but things are accelerating, it seems.
Good article and good reminder to stand up for Christian morals....even if we are ridiculed.
I suppose that God could seperate his people from those who are not his people in some other way, but if this is the way that he is doing it i see no contradiction
The scriptures plainly tell us that these days will come and i believe they are here.
People are so used to going along to get along that most of them don't even notice that we're near the edge.
There are also plenty of folks who can see where we're headed and don't want the country to go over the edge, but who enjoy hanging over the edge of the cliff for a quick thrill now and then. The latter group want to stop where we are and not really back off very much while the former group are still charging toward the cliff full speed because they're afraid they'll miss something if they don't hurry.
If you think about it, most Christians in this country have accommodated and accepted drugs, sex, and rock n’ roll, which means they're in no position to notice the subtle ways the anti-Christ crowd work. They're caught in the net but it's still so spread out they think they'll be able to just swim away when they need to. They're like dope addicts who never admit they're hooked until one day while they're coasting they realize they beat the Hell out of their own mother over five dollars.
In addition, I strongly suspect that a lot of those who bemoan the current state of society couldn't handle the standards most people lived by in this country up until the late sixties and early seventies. For example, I'd be surprised if the majority of the people who are afraid of the country collapsing into a pagan, hedonist, mess would go along with having porno gone from the Internet tomorrow morning although I'm sure a lot of them have a terabyte or two that would keep them entertained for a while.
God is winnowing down His people the same way He winnowed down Gideon's army. If there's going to be a turn around it's going to be due to such a small group of people standing up for what's right that it'll be obvious God is guiding them. If any mass movement turned things around people would just pat themselves on the back and start toward the cliff again at a slower pace and emboldened by having avoided going over the edge.
God grinds exceedingly fine and if it's His will that things turn around, a small group will really turn them around, not just stop the rush toward the cliff and back peddle a few steps.
