Ah, the cult wars!

Division is the rule of life. Unity never endures the ravages of time. This is Christianity’s class / caste system, and something it failed to escape.

Like Ayn Rand observed prophetically, the individual is the smallest minority. This is why Protestantism’s “unity” and strength comes from a greater attention to the individual, compared to Catholicism’s greater focus on the “community”. No wonder Catholic-majority countries are largely socialistic. And the Catholic Church just yesterday announced support for Obama’s gun control stance. It’s all related, the stain of human-conceived religions just peeks out and shines through!

Your Catholic word for the day .... Subsidiarity!

"The social teaching of the Church is based on the human person as the principle, subject and object of every social organization."

Rand was an atheist if I recall. She wouldn’t have a positive view on religion, however I do agree in a sense. Anything religion organized and run by man is going to be flawed. The current Christian Churches are not what Peter and Paul envisioned. Paul spent his life defending against what we have today. We are the Church, Jesus is head, not some guy who lives in the vestiges of a fallen empire.
