Wickedness multiplies so rapidly that God must take action, first confusing the languages of Man and humbling him at Babel, then practically starting all over again with the flood.
The Flood is recounted in Genesis 7-8. The Tower of Babel incident is recounted in Genesis 11, with (IMO) the strong implication that it happened after The Flood. It would seem that Msgr. Pope himself has been hit by the very problem he identifies in this article.
Very true. The Flood began in shenat ha`olam 1656 while the confusion of tongues was in 1996 (340 years later).
But look at it this way . . . this proves Msgr. Pope isn't one of those awful "fundamentalists!"
Is that supposed to be some sort of attempt at humour? Whatever it is, I suggest (strongly) that you take it elsewhere ... seeing it only causes me to think less of you.
