This whole paranoia of Catholicism made a whole lot more sense when “reformers” could claim that Catholicism was hindering people from joining their own sect. Now that Catholicism is the only shred of religion left in Europe, it seems down right ridiculous to terrified that Europe should embrace Catholicism, even if it isn’t your favorite sect, doesn’t it?
