i did read the post, it was long, but i read it.

let’s recap:

you state Jesus died Wednesday afternoon before sundown, so according to Biblical counting of days, that is day one.
from sundown wed to sundown thurs, is day two.
from sundown thurs to sundown fri is day three.

so if Jesus died on wednesday afternoon, he would have to rise sometime from sundown thurs to sundown fri for Him to rise on the third day.

THIS CAN’T BE!

Luke 24:21 states the first day of the week was the THIRD DAY since the crucifixion.

let’s count back days, the way the Bible does in Luke 13, Exodus 19 and Acts 10:

first day = 3rd day since crucifixion
seventh day = 2nd day since crucifixion
sixth day = day of crucifixion

what do you know, it seems like 2,000 years of Christian belief is right after all!

Upon review of Luke 13:32, it's obvious that Jesus had already been at his business of "driving out demons and healing people" when the Pharisees approached him and told him that, "Herod wanted to kill him."

Ref: 22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem.

Note Luke 13:32 follows 22 after a bit of teaching.

Certainly one would count that as day one, and any truthful person would say that the next day and the next makes three days.

But let's suppose that Jesus had just returned in the evening before the Sabbath which would began at sundown and the Pharisee told him as the sun was about to set, that Herod is out to get him.

Wouldn't he have said something like, “Go tell that fox, ‘I will keep on driving out demons and healing people tomorrow, and the next day, on the third day I will reach my goal.’ This makes a total of three days hence.

Will you truthfully suggest that he would have included the day, the evening of which he spoke it in his message to Herod? The message would then have made absolutely no sense at all. Do that and it will be obvious that you’re after something here besides what the true time line was.

I will, when I get the opportunity, forward you the disk # in which Rood lays out the proper and obviously correct time line for your future discussions.

While you're waiting, read:

Mathew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

And tell me what part of "the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." you do not understand.
