We’ve given you a massive amount of scripture, including the scriptures that you claim supported your view, and of course they do not.
The day is defined in Genesis, and redefined the same way in Exodus and Leviticus. The Lord said that he didn’t come to add to or take away from Torah, and he said himself that he would be 3 days and 3 nights in the Earth, but you call him a liar, and hold up your self and the rest of the “good friday” Dagon worship caucus as superior to Christ.
Luke 24 states clearly that early in the morning on the first day Christ had already left the tomb, so he had obviously not spent any of the first day in the tomb, he had arisen at the end of the sabbath as prophecied. This perfectly supports the rest of scripture that has him in the tomb the entire 5th 6th and 7th days (3 days and 3 nights) from beginning of passover to the end of the sabbath.
God’s days do not go by the pagan catholic/Babylonian/Ashur calendar. His days are numbered, not named after pagan gods. Good Friday is the ancient celebration of Dagon, not a feast of the Lord; the Lords feasts have never changed from creation to the present.
Amen! And Amen!
let me also add Paul, speaking of Jesus being raised from the dead says this in 1 Corinthians 15:20
“But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the FIRST FRUITS of those who have fallen asleep”
“FIRST FRUITS” is always on the FIRST DAY of the week, one more confirmation that the Scriptures support nearly 2,000 years of Apostolic Tradition, namely Jesus died on the sixth day and was raised on the FIRST DAY of the week.
challenge question to all the rood fans out there:
if Jesus died on day four as rood claims, how does the first day of the week become the third day since He died?
4th day = day one
5th day = day two
6th day = day three
7th day = day four
1st day = day five
oops, that doesn’t seem to work does it?
let’s try this:
5th day = day one
6th day = day two
7th day = day three
1st day = day four
oops again!
hmm, MATH IS HARD, ISN’T IT ROOD FANS???
