you gave no proof they weren’t allowed in on the 6th day.

As usual, you twist, slander, attack the messenger, add words, subtract words in a desperate attempt to shore up your faith in a false doctrine.

The burden is on you to disprove, since you are the one claiming the women would have had time on the 6th day to gather/prepare/apply the spices/oils.

I called your attention to scripture that states the tomb was ordered sealed and guarded by the Roman soldiers after the Pharisees requested Pilate to do so. So, YOU show ME where it is written that the women went to the Pharisees/Pilate and asked that they be allowed in.

It didn't happen. The women had even no knowledge when they arrived on the first day of the week (Sunday morning), that Nicodemus had already taken care of the matter the night that Yeshua's body was placed in the tomb.

John 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, [obviously AFTER sundown] and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.

You obviously can't, so now we all get to see you repost your false time-line list of days based on whomever is feeding you lines to parrot...

Try to find the tiniest shred of actual evidence in support of your doctrine's time-line, contrived to celebrate its pagan "special" days in the guise of something Holy. It doesn't exist except that which has been destroyed, changed, added to or dreamed up by your doctrine's founders and your Emperor Constantine.

i have many clients who are Jewish and all of them can count. i agree with you, rood is almost certainly not Jewish.

i just follow what the Scriptures say.

you gave no Scriptural evidence that the women were gathering spices and oils on the 6th day.

i follow the Scriptures which clearly teach on the sixth day they observed Jesus being buried, they rested on the 7th day and on the first day they purchased the spicesandoils before heading to the empty tomb.

let me give everyone another powerful proof for the orthodox Christian position of a 6th day death and first day rise from the dead that is almost as powerful as Luke 24.

Jesus was very public with His absolute declaration that He would rise from the dead ON THE THIRD DAY.

the Biblical standard for proof of any fact is you need two or three witnesses to establish a fact. see Deuteronomy 19:15, Matthew 18:16 and 2 Corinthians 13:1 for examples.

now, if Jesus had to go to court to defend the truthfulness of His rising on the THIRD DAY and if the third day was the sabbath ( it wasn’t of course, but if it was ), Jesus would not be able to establish the truthfulness of his claim since there were no witnesses to the secret sabbath rise from the dead.

the resurrection could only have happened on the first day of the week, where there were witnesses that could testify, yes, we saw Jesus alive on the first day.

happily, the Scriptures are clear that the first day of the week was THE THIRD DAY since His death and there were witnesses on that day that Jesus was true to His word, He did indeed RISE ON THE THIRD DAY.

Read the gospels in the original hebrew, and all the pagan additions disappear, like for example in John 6 where they are in the lead-up to Tabernacles, and some pagan fool added into the greek “the passover of the Jews was at hand.”

Was that deliberate, or just stupidity? Nothing that serves Satan that well could possibly be an accident.

last time i looked, Exodus was in the Torah, but it also might be a pagan addition. in case you believe it really is the Torah, let me point your attention to Exodus 19:10-11, to see how the Lord counts days.

Exodus 19:10-11 and the Lord said to Moses, go to the people and consecrate them TODAY and TOMORROW, and let them wash their garments, and be ready by the THIRD DAY; for on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

i’m starting to sense a pattern on how days are counted Biblically:

today - day one
tomorrow - day two
third day - day three

but maybe all these verses are pagan additions or Constantine put them there!

Only a mad pagan catholic would find your nonsequitur to be of interest. Christ was not prophesying anything there, and each day would be taken in calendar order. It must be noted that “tomorrow” was only about 2 hours away using the time you chose though.
