If the Pope sent such a letter the media would go absolutely insane with fury-demanding that Americans not allow a foreign religious leader to dictate our way of life.

But they respect all the muslim declarations in the name of diversity;which is ironic because islam allows for no other views than its own.

I say, "Let 'em!". The Pope already is supposed to be the leader on issues of faith and morals for Catholics worldwide, why would such a declaration regarding this issue be any different? The letter Bishop Jenky sent out doesn't specify any candidate so it doesn't break any rules about politicizing from the pulpit - which rule, I believe, is ridiculous on its face anyway. But I would dearly love to see the Catholic support for Obama reduced to none.

This may very well be the line in the sand that, if crossed, could result in a huge, life changing fight - but a fight that MUST be waged if Christians are to enjoy the same freedoms as everyone else in America. This is a free speech as well as religious freedom issue that we CANNOT lose. I will join the fight with all I've got! The forces aligned against us are not just the Liberals but spiritual wickedness in high places. It is worth the fight and, though we don't know how each battle will play out, we DO know victory in the final war is assured. The battle is the LORD'S!
