Ok, so if no new holidays are supposed to have been established since Moses received the commandments on Sinai, then how do you explain these: Actually, those are all secular "holidays." On the other hand, if you're not misinterpreting what ZC said, then it seems that Chanukah, Purim, and Tisha B'av, which are religious holidays, but the events the holidays are based on happened long after The Lord handed down The Torah, shouldn't be celebrated.
Just a thought...

The article mentions not observing holidays such as July 4th, Memorial Day (USA), and Groundhog day as well.
