Agreed. Halloween is anything but harmless. Look what it has turned into. Its symbols are Death & the devil.

I think it's fine if adults let kids be kids.
I had a lot of fun on Halloween when I was a kid...Trick or Treating. Nobody got poisoned by their parents; no adults put razor blades in candy.
Let kids be kids and have some fun!
We've created a mell of a hess for them to grow up in as it is, IMO! Halloween is the least of their problems!

"Trick or Treat! Give me my obamaphone treat or else you will get a trick!"

I’m very religious but this is over the top. Let the kiddies “twick or tweet” for some candy and meet the neighbors.

We've created a mell of a hess for them to grow up in as it is, IMO! Halloween is the least of their problems! I would contend that our problems have increased as we've turned increasingly against God. The popularity of Halloween seems to have increased proportionally to the degree with which we've shut God out of government and culture.

It also promotes the self-entitlement culture. Give me my treat or else you will get a trick. No wonder so many kids grow up to be liberal.

2Co 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
2Co 6:15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
Many Christians today celebrate Halloween exactly the same as hardcore atheists...

yep, another puritanical prot with his knickers in a twist. BTW, definition of a puritan: a person with the creeping fear that someone, somewhere is having fun.

...well-meaning parents dress their children in grotesque and ghoulish costumes.Feh, my nine year old is going as a Army Ranger.

To me it’s just another holiday that encourages the entitlement mentality.

I was only about 6 years old (1947) when I was taken to a Catholic Church by my Uncle and Aunt to a Halloween celebration (a scare house) - my foster mother came along quite reluctantly.
She told me that both the Church and Halloween celebration was an insult to Christianity. I'm now 71, and I've come to believe she was quite correct.

Who and what's behind this bizarre holiday? Retailers and the media.
That's it.
Normal people know Halloween is just a fun "dress-up & get candy" event for kids.
