Almost every candidate for office held prior office somewhere, even if on a school board. Take a look at their prior voting record. Call their campaign and ask what their stance is on issues that concern you..
That should get you some info.
perhaps my point was:
that when Catholics make political decisions, it doesn’t do much to create political axioms and use them instead of having a church whose members are prudent (not an optional virtue) which has the benefit of sound judgment and circumspection.
What happens if pro-lifers think it is a sin to vote for anybody who is not pro-life, so they won’t vote for somebody if they are not sure and end up leaving half their ballot blank. Why doesnt’t he tell the pro-choice catholics to leave half THEIR ballot blank?
If we need an axiom, it is:
always vote against the NARAL candidates and the gay-marriage candidates.
voting is not a sacrament and it is not a religious exercise. Catholics are supposed to vote for all offices and if both candidates are NARAL, vote 3rd party. Not all pro-choice candidates are NARAL.
I am voting for Linda McMahon who is now running ads saying she is pro-choice because she is being attacked by her opponent whose wife is a NARAL board member. I am not voting for Roraback (R) CT-5 who is NARAL, gay-marriage, pro-suicide.
How does one distinguish between McMahon and Roraback using the Green Bay Axiom? Ya cannot.
