Billy Graham is featured in a national advertising campaign calling America back to God and urging Americans to vote for biblical values on Nov. 6 a move that many conservative Christians call unprecedented.
The advertising campaign launched with full page ads in the Wall Street Journal and USA Today followed by similar ads in as many as a dozen states over the next few weeks.
Fox News has learned that many of the ads will appear in key battleground states. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association said the ads were paid for by friends of the ministry.
I believe it is vitally important that we cast our ballots for candidates who base their decisions on biblical principles and support the nation of Israel, Graham said in the full page ad that appeared in todays Wall Street Journal.
He also urged Americans to vote for those who protect the sanctity of life and support the biblical definition of marriage between a man and a woman.
Graham most recently came out in support of Chick-fil-A after the family-owned company came under a vicious attack from militant homosexual advocates who opposed their support of traditional marriage.
Last May Graham, who lives in Montreat, N.C., publicly backed an amendment to the state constitution banning gay marriage. At the time he lamented what he called the moral decline of our country.
The legacy we leave behind for our children, grandchildren, and this great nation is crucial, he said. Vote for biblical values this November 6, and pray with me that American will remain one nation under God. The BGEA said the ads intentionally do not mention any candidate or political party.
This ad is consistent with both the mission of the BGEA and Billy Grahams personal methodology to diligently and consistently remain politically neutral

Praise the Lord. I’m happy to see this.
But...but...but, Romney is trying to take over the country and convert everybody to the LDS Church. He must be stopped!
I don’t need a sarc tag on this do I?
Billy Graham knows that Mormonism is a cult, and he calls it such.
This is not an endorsement of the LDS cult.
“Billy Graham knows that Mormonism is a cult, and he calls it such.
This is not an endorsement of the LDS cult.”

Yes, I’m aware. I was just anticipating those who go nuts when this is brought up to start trashing Rev. Graham.
This is not an endorsement of lds, Graham knows they are a cult.
This is an endorsement of Biblical values.
That is a wonderful ad.
Without naming a candidate, or a political party, or endorsing anyone, or even discussing whether or not Mormons are “Christians”, Billy Graham is giving a clear message to America.
I sang in a Crusade Choir once, years ago, spending a whole week with Cliff Barrows and The Billy Graham Organization. It was a lovely experience that I will not forget.
Just goes to show how far Christianity has sunk (if it is true as reported).
Christianity is quickly becoming Oprahised.
lds - multi-gods
Christianity - one God
lds - work for your own salvation
Christianity - Grace
lds - Joseph Smith is equal/better than the lds christ
Christianity - Christ is perfect
lds - christ is not sufficient
Christianity - Christ is sufficient
lds - celestial polygamy
Christianity - one man, one woman
lds was founded as anti-Christian, anti-Biblical, anti-God Almighty, if the Grahans don’t understand/know this then that is on them.
Mitt Romney is a humble man of faith. You may list what is LDS doctrine, but that isn't necessarily what he and Ann believe nor is most importantly, how they apply their faith to their life.
Many of my friends do not believe the same thing as I do -- and that's okay. They are good, charitable, God fearing people. I look to them for inspiration with love for the neighbor.
Those verses refer to prophets and teachings.
Mitt and Ann Romney are temple worthy mormons, it is not possible for them to be so if they do not follow lds teachings.
It is the way it is.
Romney has stated over and over again he follows the faith of his fathers.
The faith of his father's is mormonism, which was founded as anti-Christian.
Nice Ad...
As Paige Patterson said..
“we need to vote for the lesser of two evils”
We have had discussions that Joseph Smith was influenced by Swedenborgian missionaries in New York and I have a few converted Mormans as friends.
At any rate, as a New Churchman, I don't believe what is believed about faith and the afterlife is seared on your soul at the moment of death, but we enter the spiritual life still learning, growing and perfecting to eternity. The 'natural' memory is soon forgotten. No one is condemned for their beliefs but instead how they lived their life.
Whoooaaaaaaa
No one said the Romney’s or you are not free to beleive as you wish. Don’t know where that came from.
No one is condemned by their beliefs - hum? Do you mean by someone else?
God and the Bible are really clear about Heaven and how to get there.
God condemns no one, we walk to heaven or hell of our own free will.
Living a ‘good’ life just doesn’t cut it, that is called Oprahism religion.
Never heard of ‘new churchman’, looked up the so called faith statement - perfect definition of new ageism.
I can see why some mormons would follow, its all about self and not God.
I follow the Ten Commandments as Jesus taught. Your 'walk' in Christ are choices based on these... DEEDS => LOVE => FAITH => SALVATION. You are saved at the END of the process, not at the beginning... Christ says He will know ye by thy works.
You and your ilk have run off some dear Morman friends of mine from this site. I hardly consider that Christian by any stretch.
So, sit there in your misery and throw 'New Ageism' bombs, etc. Have a nice day.
I am not in misery and Jesus did not teach the Ten Commandments.
Salvation is not based on deeds.
Salvation is Grace.
Honestly, I do not know what Bible you are reading.
I have not run anyone off FR.
What I do is expose mormonISM (my ilk) by using their own words, teachings and history.
We are commanded to call out false teachings and prophets - it’s in the Bible.
We are to judge everything against the Word of God Almighty - its in the Bible.
We are not to judge a persons heart, that is for God and God alone - its in the Bible.
(Oprahism is not in believing in Oprah, it is believing in self not God Almighty)
So how does this "go to show" how far Christianity has sunk?
You seem to have imputed a meaning quite distant from the text.
Take that with the removal of mormonism as a cult, and I was responding to the article linked to, not the original post.
First, the oldest (and most authentic) meaning --- rarely used by Amrican English-speakers --- is simply the worship given to God and the veneration shown toward holy people, places, and things. From the Latin word "cultus." It has no derogatory connotations, not does it imply error or idolatry. In European languages related to Latin it is used in this valid and perfectly neutral sense. For instance, you'll find Protestant churches in Paris which have proudly put these words on their signage out front: Église du Culte Protestant Évangélique.
Second, it is used by many to indicate an emotionally manipulative, secretive, maybe sexually and financially abusive, authoritarian group, whether religious or not: People's Temple, Guru Rajneesh, Synanon, Westboro Baptist, ISKCON, Lyndon Larouche, Kabbala, White Identity, etc.
Third, it is used as a short (but misleading) synonym for self-described Christian groups with (generally) a non-Nicene Christology: Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Science, Mormon, Seventh Day Adventist, Theosophy.
That's why I don't use the term. You don't know whether the word is used to indicate that the labeled group is (1)devoted to the veneration of the holy, (2) abusive, or (3) just doctrinally at variance with historic Christianity
Oh, good Lord.
Graham had on his website mormonism was a cult - take it up with him.
Graham removed the page - that is what I was responding to as well as the article linked to.
I do not need to say mormonism is a cult, I would say it is anti-Christian blasphemy.
