Muslim leaders were in unison at the United Nations this week arguing that the West was hiding behind its defense of freedom of speech and ignoring cultural sensitivities in the aftermath of anti-Islam slurs that have raised fears of a widening East-West cultural divide.
A video made in California depicting the Prophet Mohammad as a fool sparked the storming of U.S. and other Western embassies in many Islamic countries and a deadly suicide bombing in Afghanistan this month. The crisis deepened when a French magazine published caricatures of the Prophet.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said it was time to put an end to the protection of Islamophobia masquerading as the freedom to speak freely.
"Unfortunately, Islamophobia has also become a new form of racism like anti-Semitism. It can no longer be tolerated under the guise of freedom of expression. Freedom does not mean anarchy," he told the 193-nation U.N. General Assembly on Friday.
Egypt's newly elected Islamist president, Mohamed Mursi, voiced similar sentiments in his speech on Wednesday.
"Egypt respects freedom of expression, freedom of expression that is not used to incite hatred against anyone," he said...

Mohamed need not be “depicted” as a fool, nor his adherants as inbred idiots.
Based on what the Koran tells Islamists to do, one can only conclude that Mohamed who supposedly wrote it was an evil and backward jackass.
And that is just based on what is in his book. In real life he must have been a complete jerk. God does not want people to live by the atrocious Koranic rules. That is why what has followed thebKoran is centuries of armed conflict, against the evil teachings of Mohamed and Islamist doctrine.
Every single society of whatever faith that encounters Islam, ends up in armed conflict against the perverted hatred and sin filled Islamists. Whether Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Sikh or whatever, the Islamist always resort to unprovoked violence based on the teachings of the pathological Mohamed. His legacy is bloodshed and enslavement, cruelty to women, and death to every other religion’s believers. In the Middle Ages Spain had it right: drive the Islamists out, completely from your homeland. There can be no tolerance because of the immense moronic ignorance of the Islamist heretic Mohamed and adherents to his criminal teachings in the Koran.
And the Resident of the United States has no standing to defend terrorism by Islamists on the floor of the United Nations. In fact, Islamist terrorism must be condemned and punished without mercy. Mohamed via the Koran brainwashed his followers to be serial killers and a free society must reject that evil.

And our congresscritters remain asleep at the wheel only interested in their political careers.
