When the Obama Administration began its Kulturkampf against American Catholics my husband suggested to me that if the Church is forced to pay for its employees contraceptives then there should be an option clause for practicing Catholics. An equivalent amount of the Churchs money spent on other peoples recreational sex should be given to faithful Catholics to cover whatever they do for recreationfor example, golf, tennis, fishing, or weekends at the beach house with hot rock massages.
In a post-Christian world gods dont disappear. Christ is simply replaced by the apparatus of the nation-state. Political leaders assume to themselves the powers and prerogatives formerly associated with deities, above all, powers over life and death and reproduction.
The very same politicians who feign moral outrage over the Churchs moral advice to Catholic couples use coercive state power to venture further into bedrooms than any encyclical. If a woman chooses to use the pill in defiance of three popes who have said its morally wrong, then it is still her choice. The worst outcome for her is that she is left with an uneasy conscience. She wont be sent to prison, she wont be named in public and she wont be forced to pay higher taxation. But if a woman happens to be Chinese and conceives a second child and is marched off to an abortion clinic then that is not her choice. That is state generated oppression.
The attempt to use the powers of the state to control human reproduction did not begin with Barack Obama and his friends at the Planned Parenthood Federation. It goes at least as far back as Joseph Stalin and his Bolshevik comrades who wanted more Soviet babies for more Soviet cannon fodder, and like a lot of Soviet practices it had an analogue in the....

No, it is what it is: Totalitarian Socialism.
Totalitarian liberalism is another evil satanic form of tyranny that must be ruthlessly destroyed.
“Is Totalitarian Liberalism A Mutant Form of Christianity?”
Yep, it is.
Christian ministers in the mid 1800’s in England were some of the first supporters of Socialism.
Socialism/Communism is the Judeo-Christian ethic divorced from the idea of God.
The liberals I know honestly believe Jesus would order the government to provide for every human need at no cost to them, well after they sent every penny they earned to said government of course, to redistribute equally, if course. I have been told I should go read a Bible by people who have never owned one but saw a website claiming to prove Jesus was a liberal.
Christianity is founded upon God’s Law. Capitalism is based on the secular aspects of God’s Law. Socialism is based on the direct violation of two Commandments (coveting and theft), and to function a socialist economy must continually lie.
In short, socialism is antithetical to Christianity.
Liberalism is the belief that the truth is malleable and subject to ideology. In order to make their schemes work, liberals often look to covet and steal the assets and incomes of others. By its very nature, it too is antithetical to God’s Law and thus to Christianity.
There was a strain of Christianity in the “smiley face” authoritarianism of the early 20th century.
It has been shoved to the side by atheistic communistic type authoritarianism that dominates the Left now. Heck, most of the churches of the Left are not very Christian.
Exactly so.
Correct. I would add that God considers man a free moral agent. Man is free to make his own choices, even to the point of accepting Him as his god or rejecting him. I think the most fundamental difference in Christianity and Socialism/Marxism is that Christianity emphasizes man as a free moral agent; the latter seeks to severely limit man's freedom. Islam restricts freedom as well.
Because it is a capital crime to repudiate Islam, and because a person born to Muslim parents is considered to automatically be Muslim, Islam is a system of slavery to ‘allah’.
The blogger known as Mencius Moldbug is a thinker with an insightful view on American totalitarianism:
http://unqualified-reservations.blogspot.ca/2007/07/universalism-postwar-progressivism-as.html
“The Universalist synthesis united two American traditions that in the past had sometimes been at odds. One was the ecumenical mainline Protestant movement, exemplified by institutions such as the Federal Council of Churches, whose most daring theologians were moving toward humanism. The other was what might (with homage to Edward Bellamy) be called the Nationalist movement, a vast raft of secular pragmatists, socialists, anarchists, communists, and other reformers, who flocked to the German-inspired university system that developed in the late 19th century, becoming a sort of roach motel for bad ideas.
(One of the most sensible of the Nationalist philosophers, William James, seriously proposed paramilitary forced labor as the cure for all social ills - in 1906. Oh, Billy, if only you knew! And the utopia of Bellamy’s enormously-influential Looking Backward (1888) is essentially the Soviet Union.)
While these groups had generally cooperated in the Progressive Era, there were some tensions - for example, over Prohibition, which the secular Nationalists found hard to swallow. These eased substantially in the New Deal, largely due to the brilliant coup in which Progressives captured the Democratic Party, their former opposition, and converted it into an extremist Progressive movement - while repealing Prohibition. FDR even had a book called Looking Forward printed under his name.
(Interestingly, both the mainline Protestant and secular Nationalist movements have deep links to the evil John Calvin, ayatollah of Geneva. Mainline Protestantism descends from Calvinism through, of course, the Puritans. The Nationalists were strongly influenced by this tradition as well, in its later Unitarian and Transcendentalist forms, but many also studied in the Prussian university system, where they learned the secular versions of Calvin’s divine State propounded by the Genevan Rousseau, and later by Hegel. Death is a master from Germany.)
After WWII, there was no longer any visible quarrel between these factions. Any views which contradicted Universalism became socially unacceptable in polite society. Progressive Christianity, through secular theologians such as Harvey Cox, abandoned the last shreds of Biblical theology and completed the long transformation into mere socialism. Nationalism also becomes an inappropriate term, as with the growth in American power it morphed into internationalism and, as most now call it, transnationalism. Instead of sacralized regional governments, transnationalists want to build a sacralized planetary government - on the principle that, as Albert Jay Nock put it, “if a spoonful of prussic acid will kill you, a bottleful is just what you need to do you a great deal of good.”
