Indeed, that is indefensible. Once something like this is known I can not fathom why anyone would want to keep them in their clergy.

But I was reacting more to the excuses we so often hear, like someone forced them into celibacy and now they have no choice but to act homosexually, so absurd.

Scripturally, a person may choose to remain unmarried, and therefore celibate, for many reasons but if that proves not to be agreeable or they lack the self control such might call for, then marriage is proper.

There is an alternative to fornication.
