I would like to argue the point with you but everything you said was devoid of the Bible. Although you alluded to what the bible permits/not permits, there were no biblical references. I am afraid that too many people are persuaded by “rational” arguments instead of Biblical facts.
See my response to the original posts for Biblical references and rebuttal to your post.
“. . . everything you said was devoid of the Bible. . .”
Pastor Jack, that is an unfair characterization of my statements. Perhaps you did not read all of my posts on this thread. I quote the following Scriptures, and did a couple of summaries on other verses, as follows:
“Esaus fate: For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Hebrews 12:17
John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Fathers hand. I and my Father are one.
Jesus tells us to beware of wolves in sheeps clothing.
Also he says Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light.
Judas, who knew the gospel, professed faith, walked with Jesus, actually kissed Him - yet betrayed Christ.
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14:1-3).”
Hardly devoid of Scripture.
