The doctrine of the trinity is not just the doctrine of the New Testament, but also of the Old. Daniel’s vision of the Messiah coming to the “Ancient of Days” and receiving power and dominion forever and ever, including worship. Isaiah writing “And now the LORD God, and His Spirit, hath sent me” is another. The scripture is certainly there.

Again Eisegesis !

Yah'shua said:

John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."
The words Father, Son and Spirit
are all metaphors for YHvH.

The words of the Apostles and Prophets directly contradict you. The LORD wouldn’t say to our Lord “sit thou at my right hand, till all enemies be made your footstool” unless there really was a difference. There would be no need to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit if all were just different names for ONE person. Nor would there be any reason for Christ to pray... to Himself (the Father), during His earthly ministry, unless He, being fully God and fully man, had temporarily chosen to not move according to His own will to live the perfect human life.

re: “The words Father, Son and Spirit are all metaphors for YHvH.”

The doctrine of the Trinity is that there is One God, and within the One God there are three persons all identified in the scriptures as God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

God the Father did not die on the cross - God the Son did. After Jesus was baptized, the Father spoke from Heaven and said, “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:22; Matt. 3:17; Mark 1:10-11) - who spoke from heaven if Jesus and the Father are the same person.

Another example, when Jesus was on the Mount of Transfiguration with Peter, James and John, the scriptures say that a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” (Matthew 17:5). Again, who spoke? Was Jesus throwing his voice?

Don’t get me wrong, I believe the scriptures are very clear that there is but One God. The problem is there are three persons all called God, the Father, the Son/Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Hence the “triune” doctrine of God - three persons within the One God. Not, as the Mormons teach, three separate “gods”, but One Triune God.
