Interesting that you limit God to one means. I see him as able to bestow his gifts by any and all means he chooses, not merely by repentant faith. Speaking of which, it would require more faith than I can muster to jump thru the hoops that you do to reach some of your conclusions. I prefer a more simple faith that takes Jesus at his word. Sorry but you will not find anyone converted in the NT who did not repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to save them, nor will you find souls being born again by taking part in the Lord's Supper (though you will find some dead because they did so hypocritically).
That you cannot even accept this is consistent with your recourse to rejecting contextual systematic theology as "jumping thru hoops."
