The purpose of the Holy Inquisition was not to convert the Jews but to drive the false converts out.

There would have been no false converts if the government hadn't pressured Jews into "converting" in the first place.

That is well said. if you force some one to say they believe something, you are giving them the best reason not to believe it.

The new testament never had nothing to do with it, but ignoring the new testament is what caused it.
