From the article: A man who pleaded guilty to having sex with a 15-year-old girl because he said he received an "impression" to do so, has been placed on probation.

Between this lead graph ("having sex with a 15-year-old") and the same phrase approach used in the headline -- "sex with a teen"...what a way to describe rape...albeit statutory rape.

The law doesn't recognize "consensual sex" between a minor girl and adult men:

From the article: Geody Harman, 38, was sentenced to three years probation for unlawful sexual activity with a minor...Harman was originally charged with first-degree felony rape, but pleaded guilty to a third-degree felony charge as part of a plea bargain. In exchange, he agreed to testify against Terrill Dalton, the victim's father, who was convicted of two counts of rape, a first-degree felony, in March. Prosecutors say Dalton, 45, condoned an "impression" that Harman said he had received indicating that he needed to have sex with the then-15-year-old girl. Both Dalton and Harman were leaders of a small religious group called the Church of the First Born and the General Assembly of Heaven. Dalton called himself the "Holy Ghost" while Harman was often referred to as "God in the flesh."

"Church of the Firstborn" is a highly emphasized early Mormon concept (see this BYU entry Church of the Firstborn)...

You can see here that this sect is a Mormon offshoot of the mainstream Mormon church: MORMON SPLINTER GROUPS

The Church of the First Born and the General Assembly dates back to the 1500s on the Tundra in Finland.

The Mormon historians have the cart before the horse. What happens next is most of those guys end up in America in the 1600s (as the New Sweden colony's first shipments of captives).

They expand and spread.

Due to the lack of zap and buzz in native American amanita muscaria they switch to a local product for a source of religious inspiration ~ it's called peyote. Some congregations may use other drugs as well, but not all use a drug having become more regularized in their practices.

Young Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdry somehow fall into the hands of the COFB and next thing you know they've seen various spectral images.

There ~ does that take care of the picture?

Note that today most congregations have little understanding of where they came from or how any of this happened, but they do have rules, and the members obey or else. The COFB is most famous for prohibiting members from seeing physicians. They have a very high infant mortality rate.

Up until recently they practiced serial polygamy!

Well, that’s a mighty nice Judge to let him slide.. regardless “Time Served”. The victim still gets a lifetime sentence..

oh well. Justice is blind, they say.

It used to be, Judges protected the children.

I guess “Change” is here alright.. and its sitting on benches all over this land.

"the victim's father, who was convicted of two counts of rape"

So the father had sex with the daughter? Is that what they're saying? The article is deliberately unclear on this point for some reason.
