Whatever happened to the Indian girl ... Katherine Tekakwitha? Was she never canonized? Certainly she was a Native American in North America and I was fairly sure she was AT LEAST beatified.

Answering my own question!

She was canonized, but was Canadian -- Saint Kateri Tekakwitha. I was enchanted with her story as a child!
