In the 1920s and ‘30’s, the anti-Catholic Ku Klux Klan warned that “Catholics stored guns in their basements, and at the orders of the Vatican would start an armed revolt to overthrow the United States.”

Yes, pretty ludicrous. However, today, it is not unreasonable that people of faith, and not just Catholics, but all people of faith, should learn to embrace the second amendment, one of the rights “endowed by the creator”, of armed self defense.

The reason for this is the growing numbers of “the people of hate”. They do not just embrace non-belief, but are filled to the brim with bitter, burning hatred, not just of religion, but of faith, and of God Himself.

As such, their new religion, their new faith, is to a god that is the personification of their hate. And the sacrament of this false god is violence directed at believers in God.

Yes, in the future there will likely be more anti-Christian violence. And much of this will be directed at the Catholic church and real Catholics.

It should be noted that the direction of such hatred and violence is usually towards those least able to defend themselves: children, the infirm and invalid, and the elderly. So they should be allowed special protection from “the people of hate”, who would harm them.
