Abortion is a “grave” sin, a capital offense, and if contraception truly does abort a fetus then it would be, though that would be manslaughter if one did not know that it did.

Outside that, i do not see sexual relations as only for procreation, and think the Song of Solomon and Prv. 5:15-20 sanctifies caring romantic martial eroticism, and that the sin of Onam was selfishness, and that preventing birth by contraception would be little different than using artificial sweetener, which i also oppose, if the effects were similar.

I also think there is a difference btwn using something to prevent something like constant pain due to a disorder, and which painkiller does more good than harm, versus using steroids to unnecessarily “cheat the system.”

But killing the innocent can ever be justified, unless you are the giver of life, as He makes all things to work out for the good of those who love the Light over darkness.

Hi,

The terrible fact the Pill is an abortifacient but there are other reasons Birth Control is wrong. One...

Where does it say we determine life? Only God decides life.
We cooperate with His miracle. No one likes to think about
the life they prevented from happening.

A woman is only fertile for a certain number of days, you’re
right, the marriage act is not only for procreation.

Neither does the Church. Sex between a husband and wife is a gift from God that is both procreative and unitive.

Peace be with you.
