I used to be Arminian. The robot argument was my favorite rejoinder to Calvinists I knew. But one day I realized it was not an argument from divine wisdom, but from fleshly wisdom. So of course it makes sense to the mind of fallen man. But it doesn’t account for Scripture. What God reveals surely trumps any human analogy I can concoct. I should expect God to know more than I do about how he works. If I don’t like it, well, too bad so sad. So I gave up my “winning analogies” and went back to my Bible. And from that time to this, I have believed the doctrines of grace, as they are sometimes called, with no regrets.
Where is the “free will” in Calvinism? Their misinterpretation of Scripture makes you a robot. So does
Protestantism’s misinterpretation of Scripture, believing “faith alone”, faith makes you do a good work.

I wanted to speak to you about your quote, to maybe change your belief on this subject.
I wondered like most, where Adam and Even ended up? The Church teaches they are both in Heaven. They repented unlike Judas. Oh, the absolute soul saving importance of repentance and Confession.
Continuing...Prophecy (private revelation) helps to make God’s plan explicit. I understand better from prophecy...
God wants to give His creation everything, all of Him, this is how God is. It’s true. We see outside of prophecy even, in Jesus giving humanity His mother from the Cross. She is our mother too. As a human, I don’t know if I could share with everyone one of “the” dearest people to me, probably all of us, my own mother.
Getting to my point, oh how God loved/loves Adam and Eve. They were given three extra gifts called preternatural gifts, which they lost with the fall. One of them is “infused knowledge.” Part of the reasons the fall was so terrible, Adam failed God’s “test” and because of “infused knowledge” given Adam, he knew the consequences of his “no” for all of us.
Oh how God loves Adam even though, his original sin, it’s beautiful to read.
