Glad to hear it. Guess Alice just wanted to get loose and hunt his own mice. Hope the goop finally wears away off his back; also hope he likes the new cat.
My old cat ran off, probably into the woods to die, although I tell myself she’s just gone down to the caves below our house to live with the bobcats, and we got a new kitten from the Walmart parking lot where some girls had a dozen “FREE” kittens to give away. Her name is ZIPPY (Zippy Dee Doo Dah) because she zips here and zips there, zip, zip, zip like greased lightning. (We’re gluttons for punishment, I suppose.)
A couple years ago, my friend’s elderly Ibizan wandered off one night in the dead of winter.
[She’d had a heart attack the night before but my friend had revived her]
My friend searched for her [or her body] for months..then years and never found it.
I think sometimes, pets know we love them too much to let them go when they know it’s their time...and they go away to die because they know we’ll drag them back from the light, if we can.
Wherever your old cat is, I hope she’s very happy.
Enjoy your new kitten.
[I think *Somebody* set it up so you’d just happen to ‘find’ it at WalMart]
Ren is starting his zippy-zoomy phase.
That little cat is crazy.
;D
