Some people can rejoice with others who find what was lost.
A lost coin.
A lost sheep.
A lost son.
A lost snake.
...and some people will forever say, no matter what is lost, that those who rejoice are over-reacting.
Seems to me this applies:
“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.”
(Romans 12:15)
