Sadly, the opinions of old-line Franciscans no longer amounts to a mound of crap; they’ve been heretical and dying off so long, no-one can possibly read their opinion on this matter as anything other than hubris.
Thank God for the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, else the glorious and inspiring traditions of St. Francis and his followers would be perishing from the earth in a generation.
