Sister Alessandra Kubasta (Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters) signed on 11/29/11 View Petition and on 12/14/11 View Petition

Sister Marie Gerard Donovan (Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters) signed on 11/27/11 View Petition and on 12/14/11 View Petition

The convent at Sinsinawa Mound proudly advertised (at least on the sign they used to - and may still - have out front) their status as a nuclear-free zone, but I can't recall them advertising their status as an ethics-free zone. In any event, a surprising number of the nuns around here are definitely more Democrat than Dominican.

My daughter is entering a REAL Dominican convent this summer, the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist.

Wouldn’t it be nice if those old women would put “Pro-Life Abortion-free Euthanasia-free Zone”?

Of course their own neighbors might actually be involved in abortion or euthanasia and the sign would be a real witness, whereas none of their neighbors were involved with nuclear anything, so the nuke-free sign was not the least bit courageous or bold or exemplary of any artempt to be a real Christian witness.

These stupid b%&#@es can’t even see that those packages for public school teachers are the main reason Catholic schools are closing across the country; here in NJ it is very hard to pay Catholic school tuition when your public school taxes are over $6K (and you don’t get that back if you “opt out” of public schools). Then again, many of these “sisters” aren’t teachers anyway. In fact, besides advocating for the left, I have no idea what they do. I suspect the reason vocations have dropped off for them is because they can politically agitate without vows (since that is all they seem to do anyway).

At least the parishes can sell off their former convents (though their is a big push to find work for sisters in parish offices).
