God Now sends us believers as ambassadors for Christ Jesus

TOPICS: Evangelical Christian; Mainline Protestant; Other Christian; Theology
KEYWORDS: ambassadors
Ambassadors: A brief look at Scripture shows how men and God sent out ambassadors for various purposes in God's plan and purpose.

II Chronicles 32:31: Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

II Chronicles 35:21: But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.

Isaiah 18:2: That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

Isaiah 30:4: For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.

Isaiah 33:7: Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.

God Now sends us believers as ambassadors for Christ Jesus

Oh what a great and humbling honor to be so privileged today to be called, sent, and commissioned as ambassadors for Christ, as the Apostle Paul so was commissioned.

II Corinthians 5:20: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Query poll to readers

Who among the readers of this blog both recognize and ascribe to the teaching of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ to whom has established us a separate ministry from this evil world system and called us to be ambassadors for Christ?

I wish to poll the readers and their understanding and knowledge regarding II Corinthians 5:20: [that] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ... in His stead on this earth to represent Him to both the lost souls and to edify the Church, which is His body (Colossians 1:18).
