Nope. The word used there is “menounge” which means “nay rather”. No misquoting anything.

Your were quoting from the King James translation. If you think that translation is in error, you're certainly entitled to your opinion. It's a little less than honest, however, to alter that translation to match your personal beliefs without noting that you've done so.
