Where in my post did you see anything against Governor Romney’s religion? What I said was that the Democrats will give the whole world a cram course in all the negative aspects of Mormonism and how it differs from mainstream Christianity and Judaism. You are right, and while I stand by what I said, I should not have anything against you, and for that I apologize.
My point still stands as to anyone (especially including the Democrats, who will attack his Mormonism purely for political gain, and not as a true religious discussion— after all, separation of church and state, right?) that when it comes to matters of faith each of us follows our own beliefs, and faith is something that is very difficult to argue against with any effectiveness. It almost always devolves into insults and name-calling at worst, or, at best, arguing from two divergent starting points, which is a waste of time. I am comfortable telling people what I believe and why I believe it, but I have to acknowledge that what I believe I believe by faith, and that I cannot prove it by any means that non-believers would accept.
Again, please forgive me for jumping to any conclusions about your own beliefs.
