Too bad abortion is a world-wide event.
China makes women get abortions after their first baby, be it a girl or boy.
When India got hold of the amneocentisis test, they aborted girl babies like there was no tomorrow. I understand that in BOTH China and India the male population is skewed way up out of proportion. Not enough women to go around. I THOUGHT that might increase the value of women, generally speaking. It didn't in China.
Do you remember the "zero population" drive of the 1970's here in the states? I do. Those folks wanted people to feel GUILTY for having more than one child.

Yes, I remember that zero population thing. I read once that all the people in the United States could be put into the state of Texas and still have leftover room. LOL!
Here's a great quote to ask those people.
Chesterton on birth control/population control:
In 1925 Chesterton wrote an introduction to Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol in which he said that The answer to anyone who talks about the surplus population is to ask him, whether he is part of the surplus population; or if not, how he knows he is not.

I remember that line from the
Christmas Carol. My husband and I watched the George C. Scott version EVERY year. Great version of a wonderful book.
There IS no "surplus population." We are all here on earth for God's Plan. I sometimes wonder about ... oh, never mind. :o)
