Under the heading of "Hope", I saw:

7- Am I confident that, with God’s grace, I will be saved?

Out of ALL the other nitty-gritties of being the "perfect" Catholic, why does this one seem to be the point MOST deny is even possible, much less desired?

Human nature ... judgmental attitude towards others ... self-recrimination. How often have you heard someone say "I will never forgive so and so for what they did to me"? Hence, if I can't forgive then how can God? A good example might be someone who had an abortion. Through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, they can be forgiven, yet some simply cannot forgive themselves.
