Obama picked the wrong enemy. He was against them even prior to his presidency; the Vatican was even prepared to go to “war” with him over the Freedom Of Choice Act if he signed it (that bill died). Obama had once said (as a senator in 2007) that the first thing he would do if he were president was sign the FOCA into law.
As it turns out, he got FOCA enacted anyway — he just called it “health care reform”.
