Its all about worldview. A person who believes in the supernatural can allow for nearly all claims of the supernatural to be false without destroying the supernaturalist worldview. However, a naturalist/materialist cannot allow for even one claim of the supernatural to be true without destroying his worldview.

This is probably why they even attack ideas like the Loch Ness Monster and Big Foot, because it would destroy everything they though they knew about evolution.

It’s amazing how so many of those who claim such a conviction (practically, dare I say a religious one as it’s based more on their faith than legitimate science?) in science are so quick to avoid any scientific look at the NDE phenomena.

Every scientist I ever read about who tried was quickly branded a kook and his reputation destroyed, Same for any other discipline that took a serious view in it. Or on God.

It’s bizzarre. If you really do whiteout into the void, it seems a waste of time to convince people you wont. Seems you’d want them smoking the ‘opiate of the masses’ by the pound, to keep them fat and happy, not trying to wreck their world and hate you for it.

Bah...liberals. Nothing about them makes sense, why would this?’
