On the other point, it is a gift of God that we know His voice when we hear it, i.e. "ears to hear."
The ones Jesus is addressing below physically heard His words (sound or pressure waves) but they could not spiritually hear Him:
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
But blessed [are] your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Matthew 13:14-16
Correct. In the OT God spoke through the Prophets. During the Gospels God spoke through and as Jesus. In the Church age He is speaking through the Holy Spirit. We hear His voice through the Holy Spirit through scripture reading, prayer, circumstances and the body of believers.
I guess I’m confused. Which scriptures are you saying are man-made and which are from God? You quote them but then put the Psalms ahead of Matthew. Who wrote the Psalms? Who wrote Deuteronomy? Are you saying that God sat down and penned some scriptures, which other books were penned by man? If so, how do you determine which is which?
