However, SCRIPTURE DOES NOT SAY THAT!

At most Scripture would say that the person was out of order to speak in tongues PUBLICALLY without and interpreter. !DOH!

And in terms of praying in tongues alone to God, your assertion has no application whatsoever.

He insures that folks with eyes to see and ears to hear gain whatever nuggest of truth and Spiritual insight HE wants them to gain from my humble words.

Thankfully, my style does seem to help hide a number of pearls and gems like Christ’s parables did 2,000 years ago from similar mentalities.

And, being hated by those who refuse to walk persistently hand in hand with Him in His Spirit . . . goes with the territory regardless of what color or font I post in.

So, I enjoy doing it as He has made me, trained me, conditioned me. He knows what He’s doing with me. I only get occasional glimpses.

Have you at all considered that people for the most part would not glean if there's no truth in them to glean from? Which should warrent a look see at what you're presenting may very well be a distortion of the truth?

Not one person on these threads has stated they hate you....stating so would evidence you're wallowing again...and does not invite reasoned dialogue... rather appears you are seeking sympathy while you're claiming victimhood...which thus far has been of you're own making and evidenced by the history of these threads on this subject.

Your style is far more transparent than you realize and does not require revelation to understand or see where you are coming from....I would question those as having pearls and gems as Christ spoke....if indeed there are those present at all... they are clearly noted to those in Christ.

The Lord very much would have us know far more than a glimpse of what he's doing with us Quix....we walk with Him and in fellowship with Him moment by moment and that with the guidancce of his word as our compass thru life....further He communicates His will to us and as much reveals to us what he would and chooses for us to follow Him in..... And for that we grow closer to Him and desire Him all the more....as we co-operate with Him..... He is not out there somewhere but up close and personal in our life...and that in all aspects.

One of the things that hasn’t been discussed and won’t likely be very rationally nor fair-mindedly by the naysayers . . .

I think one of the most IMPORTANT functions of tongues is to connect our spirit more directly to God’s Spirit

without all the mental noise from our intellectual sphere.

I think Scripture alludes to that without spelling it out explicitly.

I just know that MANY times in my 65 years,

when I’ve been MOST BOUND UP IN MY MENTAL UNDERWEAR . . .

God has used praying in tongues as a way to break through all the mental noise and double binds with a greater initmacy with Him; a greater clarity from Him; a greater sense of direction, balance etc.

Similarly, I wasn’t often very stuck when counseling individuals, couples or families—by God’s mercy—He trained me well. However, the few times I was . . . praying quietly under my breath in tongues persistently facilitated an insight or line of query from Holy Spirit that brought immediate breakthrough for the clients.

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS.
