The left treats politics as war and the right looks for comity and civility. Conservatives are endlessly shocked at what the left does as a matter of strategy and tactics - they shouldn't be.

To a large degree you are correct. If conservatives do not wake up to this we and our dear America are destined for the dustbin of history.

You have been able to count on every time some conservative takes off the kid gloves, another “can’t we all just get along” compassionate conservative tries to shame us back to their meek thinking. Look around, its easy to see where it got us.
