"We love him, because he first loved us." 1 John 4:19. Had He not first loved us, there is no way we could approach Him, no matter HOW much love we had toward Him. He loved us so much that He was in Christ, RECONCILING THE WORLD UNTO HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed to us the word of reconciliation." 2 Cor. 5:19.

But there is the wrath of God also. To be poured out on all who reject His reconciliation, His love toward us, through the finished work of His Son. And justified wrath, it will be.

Amen. Thats is why the emphasis of this article is the fact that He loved us , freely, and for no reason within us. God took the initiative towards people that hated him, and constantly rejected Him. God’s love is an awesome mystery.God’s wrath also is an awesome certainty.
