Sister is a lost soul. We need to pray for her, that she would allow heavenly concerns to trump worldly ones.
Canon 915. Excommunication. BUT it has got to be public, proclaimed, and with the requirement that the individuals publicly renounce their heresy. Personally, I’d be in favor of having it reserved to Rome, since these are public figures and our equivalent of royalty.
There are a lot of “Catholic” nuns out there who are not really Catholic. They don’t leave the church because they have comfortable lifestyles living in thier religious communities. Some orders are not dependent on the local bishop. The communities that they belong to own thier own property. Also many of them collect salaries from non profit corporations that get gubmint fundin. Not all nuns are like Mother Theresa.
With things like this it’s no wonder that they can’t fly anymore.
Did anybody actually read the article? From what the nun actually said, I don’t see any scandal there at all. She replied to someone that wrote to her, but never claimed to support them in any way. She didn’t do anything wrong.

Dolan, needs to have the whole team on the same page. Removing Keehan is an important step in that goal.
Nope the response to the pro choice group was a window to her heart.
She gave a highly positive resopnse to this and you think she wasn't supporting them or thanking them for support of her identical position...and there's no scandal?
It is hard for the Catholic Church to maintain their credibility on ethical issues when they allow those who so radically depart from the basic tenets of the church to remain as active members and congregants. May be time for the separation of sheep and goats.

Well, you can burn her as a witch if you wish, but what she actually said was nothing of the kind. She was polite. That’s how kindly little old ladies talk.
In fact, I have to wonder at the motives of the person that misreprented themselves in a false e-mail and apparently thought they could trap some nun into saying something scandalous. What’s up with that? All because a nun didn’t respond to some previous message? Sorry... but there’s a nastiness about this. She was baiting the nun, and I think it’s pretty clear the nun didn’t bite.
The sad reality is that more than a few modernist nuns are supporters of abortion. Some even volunteer as “escorts” at abortion clinics and march in pro-choice rallies. Sister Keenan’s enthusiastic support of Obama and Obamacare speaks for itself.
The point is they could speak their concience against Sam William's, Reagan and keeping the Ruskie's in line which they didn't agree with. right now under Obamacare they can't speak out, but this group don't see it yet, many of their brethern do, but soon it will be too late..
Not all sisters are nuns. In addition, there's no "h" in Teresa. Two different women.
Discernment appears to be your achilles' heel.

Oh, Please. The e-mail thanked her for standing up for women’s rights to control their bodies. A “pro-choice” organization writing that is like a Nazi writing “Thank you for your support for a final solution to our Jewish situation.”
