Anybody think it a little odd to fly from Dallas to Harlingen, rent a car and then drive to Matamoros Mexico for a dental appointment?

If he's having crowns done then he's going to have to make a second trip. Just curious, what exactily is he having done on his teeth to justify all this travel?

Has the family bothered to contact the Mexican dentist to see if the young man showed up? Or did he not have an appointment with anyone and just decided to drive around the streets with the $500 and his debit card in his pocket, searching for a dentist who just happens to have a canceled apointment and was willing to fit him into the time slot?

I hate to sound so negative but absolutely nothing makes sense about this story.

I hope the young man's story is true and that he is found to be ok and the dental work provided was acceptable.....

I think if you remain at the resorts then you're ok but I don't think it's safe to go out where there aren't large numbers of vacationers...
