Do you honestly believe God punished us with obama? I thought it was all of the votes that liberals bought.

God did not punish us with Obama — we did it to ourselves.

Congress does not even have the b*lls to find out who he really is and is trying hard to sweep the whole affair under the rug.

Leave God out of it — He has been accused of too many wrongdoings throughout history.

I honestly believe that God punished us with Obama. In Scripture, God has used a hostile and enemy nation to punish Israel.

Since this is a discussion and you brought up the subject, YES. Almost 40 years of abortion, pushing the limits on ‘free sex’, not to mention gay sex, all of which is an abomination to Him. YES! We get what we deserve as a consequence for our national sins. God uses evil men like this to wake us up. Whether we wake up to the truth and heed it, or just react to it, is determined by the condition of our hearts. I see both reactions. I see people genuinely seeking God’s will and praying for revival/spiritual awakening. I see others acting like we’ve been robbed, being totally cynical and tearing down anybody’s efforts to mention the root problem. What we are seeing today are the fruits of our national sin, not random acts of sin and disobedience.

Many within the Christian culture still do not understand that sin is reprehensible in any shape. We quickly forgive ourselves and move on, stating how great is is we have a forgiving God, but patterns of sin must be reversed, not just repeatedly asked forgiveness for. Well, He will help us overcome, but not if it means that we will not change, or just ask His help to protect a standard of living. You can read the OT to see how God used evil nations to punish Israel. She didn’t learn when Israel (northern kingdom) was taken into captivity, so Judah (southern) followed later. She had good kings and bad kings, some that did away with evil practices, but did not complete the task, so future kings became more corrupt and discarded the reforms. We are living out those days. We have been chided to not be so judgmental, so we judge almost nothing. Now, treason is never prosecuted, and things like we see unfolding in the government today are never really dealt with. Brought to light, but no one is ever held accountable. Not really. It is an affront to the Constitution and our country, but we keep electing these fools who make fools of us in return. So, we get what we deserve. And God uses these men and circumstances to try to get our attention, but mostly we complain, and nothing else. We could pray, but some even in this site are opposed to even the thought of it, believe it is a worthless endeavor.
